Mr. Collins will also identify the bench scale trials that consist of three main components, which are

-       permeability test to determine the hydraulic conductivity of the media,

-       Jar tests to understand the sorption characteristics of the media, and

-       Column tests to determine key design criteria for scale-up.

Testing involved the use of raw surface water collected from an airport site, containing a range of PFASs typical of legacy contamination from firefighting activities. These tests, which were performed in comparison to baseline runs using reagent water spiked with PFOS and PFOA, will also be discussed.

Additionally, AquaBlok will be exhibiting their various products in Booth 122. Their exhibit space will feature a product demonstration of the company’s namesake product, AquaBlok 2080FW, as well as product samples, case studies, and promotional items.

Visit Mr. Collins and other AquaBlok members during the following dates and times:

  •  Tuesday, March 10 from 9am-5pm and Wednesday, March 11 from 7am-3pm in the Exhibit at Booth 122

  •  Wednesday, March 11 between 2:55 PM to 4:00 PM for Mr. Collins Workshop Presentation titled, “ Assessment of Flow-Through Media for Reducing PFAS Migration in Surface and Groundwater”

The Emerging Contaminants Summit is the only one that comprehensively addresses mitigating the presence of contaminants, such as PFAS, across all environmental media including surface water, groundwater, drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, soils and sediments.

The highly successful and internationally known event brings together leaders and key stakeholders from academia, government, regulatory community, as well as site owners, private consulting agencies and various other environmental professionals. It will take place in Westminster, CO on March 10’ and March 11’ 2020 at the Westin Westminster.
